Recreation 1837-1840 VAM Day Dress
I chose to recreate a dress I've always been fond of at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Using their online images as a reference I drafted and self fitted the gown and all the supporting layers. To create the desired shape I made a corset, a corded petticoat with a bodice, and a tucked petticoat with a large frill to hold out the bottom of the skirt.
